Traditionally, there has been an open door at 41 Maple
Street. Strangers, friends, neighbors,
and family were welcomed on the porch
for an idle chat, to enjoy a slice of pie with a cup of coffee, stroll through
the garden, share some supper, or sleep the night. Visitors were amused by stories or inspired
by spiritual testimony and blessed with prayer.
In this book, readers now have some of those stories and testimony for lasting enjoyment. We wish we could
offer a slice of pie, too!
